# the free analysis is the whole pitch, _and that is on purpose_

My whole sales process is a free written analysis of your Google presence, and this issue explains why I set it up that way.

**Brandon Medina**, founder of BCM Results, Boston. Published September 20, 2026, updated September 21, 2026.

Hi,

People sometimes ask what my pitch is. The honest answer is that I do not really have one. I have a free analysis, and the analysis does the pitching.

Here is how it works. You send me the name of your business and the website. Within 2 business days you get an email from me, not from a sales team, with a written list of what has to change for your business to show up on Google Maps for the searches your customers make. What the listing is missing. Where the site and the listing disagree. What the three businesses above you have that you do not. In plain words, with no obligation attached.

Then you decide. Some people take the list and fix it themselves, and that is a fine outcome. Some people read it and want me to do it, and that is where the plan comes in. Either way nobody had to sit through a presentation.

The lesson in this is about trust. A local business owner has been pitched by every agency with a phone. Most of those pitches are the same: a confident voice, a promise, a contract. The owner cannot tell the good ones from the bad ones because they all sound alike, and so the safest move is to say no to everyone. I understand that. I would do the same.

So instead of asking you to trust me, I show you the work first. The analysis is not a teaser with the good part held back. It is the actual diagnosis. If I write that your primary category is wrong and your site title says only your company name, you can open both right now and see that I am right. Nothing about my ability to help you is left to my word.

Picture a restaurant owner who has been burned before. She fills in the form expecting a call from a closer. What she gets instead is an email that says her listing names the wrong cuisine, her hours on Google do not match the sign on the door, her website has no menu Google can read, and the three places above her on the map all have recent photos of the food. She checks. All true. Now she knows two things: what is wrong, and that the person who wrote the email actually looked.

That second thing is the pitch. Not a promise about results. Proof that I did the work before you paid for anything.

It also protects me. The analysis is where I find out whether I can actually get a business into the top three. If the market is one where I cannot, I say so in the email, because every plan I write carries the same line: top 3 on Google Maps within 90 days, or billing pauses until you are there. I only say yes to businesses I am confident I can get there, and the free analysis is where that belief comes from. What the rest of the work looks like, once someone says yes, is here: [Google Maps ranking, how it works and what you do](https://bcmresultss.com/services/google-maps-ranking/).

If you want yours, it is here: [the free analysis](https://bcmresultss.com/free-analysis/). Send the name and the site, and read what comes back with your listing open next to it.

I run BCM Results in Massachusetts. I help local businesses improve and measure their Google visibility. The written terms define a 90-day top-three goal and pause billing if that goal is not reached. Six public website examples are linked from the Work section on the home page.
