Quincy, Massachusetts

# Local SEO agency in _Quincy_, MA

Quincy is one bridge from Boston, and Google still draws it as its own map, one neighborhood at a time. I get one local business per industry into the top 3 on Google Maps for Quincy searches, with a 90 day line written into the terms. This page explains how the map works here and what I do about it.

**Brandon Medina**, founder of BCM Results, Boston. Published September 19, 2026, updated September 21, 2026.

## Where the Quincy map changes

Quincy runs from the Neponset River at the Boston line down to the Fore River at Weymouth, with the Red Line through the middle: North Quincy, Wollaston, Quincy Center, Quincy Adams.

Google's help page on local ranking says results come from relevance, distance and prominence. Distance is measured from the phone doing the search. So there is no single Quincy top 3. Someone typing "electrician near me" on Hancock Street in Quincy Center gets one map. Someone typing the same thing on Quincy Shore Drive by Wollaston Beach gets another. Out in Houghs Neck or Squantum it changes again.

Then there is Boston. Cross the Neponset into Dorchester and you get Boston pins. A Quincy business can be first from Quincy Center and nowhere from Dorchester, one bridge away. That is why I write one page for [Boston](https://bcmresultss.com/boston/) and one for Quincy: Google wants to know where you work, one place at a time, whether that is Quincy or [Framingham](https://bcmresultss.com/areas/framingham/) out on the Pike.

## The neighborhoods, one by one

- **Quincy Center**: Hancock Street, City Hall, the Thomas Crane Public Library, Quincy College, the Adams National Historical Park visitor center, the Red Line and commuter rail station. The busiest map in the city.

- **Wollaston**: the hill, the Red Line stop, Quincy Shore Drive and Wollaston Beach. A business here often ranks for Wollaston and drops off a few blocks into the Center.

- **North Quincy, Squantum and Marina Bay**: the top of the city, close to the Neponset and Dorchester. Maps here blend Quincy and Boston pins.

- **Houghs Neck and Germantown**: out on the water, with fewer businesses, so a well built listing can own the map.

- **Quincy Point**: by the Fore River and the Southern Artery, where Weymouth and Braintree pins start to show.

- **West Quincy and South Quincy**: Quincy Adams station, the Quincy Quarries, the edge of the Blue Hills. Braintree and Milton pins creep in.

If you serve all of Quincy, the goal is a green dot in every one of those spots.

## Who this fits in Quincy

The plan works for a local business that already has customers and wants more from Google:

- Trades that drive to the job: plumbers, electricians, HVAC, roofers, painters, landscapers, movers.

- Places people walk into: dentists, physical therapists, salons, barbers, gyms, auto repair shops along the Southern Artery or Hancock Street.

- Professionals with an office near the Center: accountants, attorneys, insurance and real estate agents.

One business per industry per area. If I already work with a Quincy plumber, I say so in the first email. Your side of the work is about an hour at the start, asking customers for reviews with the link, and a short check in each month.

## How it works in my plan

- **Google Business Profile, rebuilt category by category.** I match the primary category the top 3 in Quincy use, add the secondary ones that fit, complete every section, write each service with a description, upload photos with real Quincy locations, add a booking link, fill the questions and answers, post weekly and reply to every review. Details on [the profile work](https://bcmresultss.com/services/google-business-profile-optimization/).

- **Website.** Title and headline say the service and Quincy. Name, address and phone in the footer exactly as on the listing. The Google map embedded. One page per service, one page per area served, all linked, fast on a phone, with schema markup. That is [the website work](https://bcmresultss.com/services/website-optimization/).

- **A review system your team runs.** One tap link, a script for the moment the customer is happiest, a reply to every review. Steady reviews every month beat bursts. See [the review system](https://bcmresultss.com/services/review-system/).

- **Citations cleaned up** so name, address and phone are identical everywhere.

- **Retargeting on Google and Meta** so people who already found you keep seeing you on YouTube, Instagram and Facebook. Ten to twenty percent of a cold budget. It does not move the Maps position.

- **A dated rank grid every month.** The same search from the same spots across Quincy: red dots where you are not in the top 3, green where you are.

## The 90 day line

Profile, website and citation changes can be processed on different schedules. Google does not publish a fixed ranking timetable, so the plan uses dated grids to measure progress. If the goal defined in the [terms](https://bcmresultss.com/terms-of-service/) is not reached within 90 days of access, billing pauses until it is and restarts from the next cycle. The flat monthly rate is quoted in writing and remains fixed while the service continues.

## A checklist you can run yourself today

- Search your service from Quincy Center, Wollaston, North Quincy and Quincy Point. Note where you land each time.

- Is your primary category the one the top 3 use?

- Does the footer show name, address and phone exactly as the listing does, with the map embedded?

- When was your last review? If it was months ago, that is the first fix.

- Is your service area half of Massachusetts? A giant area on a new listing dilutes it. Start tight, then widen.

## Questions people ask

**I'm in Wollaston but most of my jobs are in Quincy Center. Which one do I aim at?**

Both, in order. Wollaston comes first because distance is on your side there. Then a Quincy Center page on your site and steady reviews from Center customers pull the map toward you.

**Do I need a storefront in Quincy to show up in Quincy?**

No. A service business with a hidden address can rank on Maps. What matters is a real Quincy address on the listing, a tight service area, and a Quincy page on your site that names the neighborhoods you drive to.

**Why does a Dorchester company show up when I search from North Quincy?**

Because from North Quincy, Dorchester is close, and Google measures distance from the phone, not the town line. The fix is prominence: a fuller profile, recent reviews and a page that says Quincy.

**Can you get me the top 3 for the whole South Shore?**

Not in one shot. I start with your main term in Quincy. Once that holds, we widen to Braintree, Weymouth or Milton one at a time.

**Should I put "Quincy" in my business name on Google?**

No. Stuffing the name with a town or a keyword, or changing it back and forth, triggers a new verification and can get the listing suspended. The town goes in the description, the services, the posts and your website, not the name.

**What if I'm barely getting by right now?**

Then this is not the right moment. The plan fits a business that is doing well and wants more. It needs patience and the rate has to make sense for you. There is no long contract.
